Earlier this year, the Tamdhu Distillery Team came together to choose the cask that became the Distillery Team Single Cask 2026, released for the Spirit of Speyside Whisky Festival.

But another cask had caught the attention of Tamdhu Distillery Manager Sandy McIntyre.

Long after the team had reached its decision, Sandy continued to return to Single Cask #1593. Each tasting revealed something new: richness, structure, and the unmistakable character of first-fill European oak. It was a cask that refused to be forgotten. Now, this personal selection from Tamdhu’s Distillery Manager is ready to be shared.
